Unbleached is an intimate workshop for home bakers. I created this simplified, crash course to demonstrate how you can bake all my favorites recipes from start to finish.

So... why unbleached?

Baking with unbleached flour and sugar was a game changer for me. I would make the same recipe with regular bleached flour and sugar and it would come out dry and bland/chalky tasting. I'm really spoiled now. Unbleached ingredients have more flavor. In all honesty, I don't even do it to be healthier. It tastes better! It's like coffee from the gas station vs. freshly roasted coffee from your local coffee shop.

There are so many things you will never learn about this kind of stuff in a commercial pastry school or an outdated cake decorating class sponsored by huge cake decorating companies that are pushing their pre-mixed products, buttercreams and mixes. We have so many better-tasting, modernized resources available to us!

If we can make less-toxic goods that taste better anyways, then WHY NOT?
